Cala Falcó Collection is a natural holistic wellness house and aromachologist. The Collection is nourished by botanicals sourced from the wild botanical farm and family home at ‘Cala Falcó’, a coastal sanctuary in Mallorca. The Collection is specifically blended to harness the transformative and potent power of botanicals to awaken your senses and lift your mood.

We are equal parts natural scent scientists, botanists and sensory alchemists.

We fiercely believe in a connection to nature and a 100% natural and slower approach to sourcing our ingredients.

UNDERSTANDING AROMACHOLOGY

Scent can evoke relaxation or exhilaration, comfort or courage. It can stimulate and it can soothe. All because the sense of smell is a direct channel to the limbic system, the area of the brain where emotions and memories are processed. The study into this connection between aromas and human psychology is known as aromachology.

By mixing traditional artisan perfumery techniques with the latest research into aromachology our scent scientists, led by our founder Victor Alarcon, use fragrances to stimulate chemical reactions in the brain. These olfactory reactions in turn trigger feelings, unlock memories and create moods.

Our natural fragrances can also restore biochemical, hormonal and emotional states, and enable us to tune into our consciousness and elevate our spirit.

Helichrysum

Extracting the botanicals

In The Lab our Scent Scientists go to great lengths to harvest and preserve the precious botanicals from our farm.

1. The Harvest

Each botanical is handpicked at the precise moment when its aromatic and active compounds are at their peak. We follow the natural cycles of the plant, its growth, flowering, and rest, rather than imposing fixed schedules.

2. Extraction

The botanicals are placed into our alembic for steam distillation. Water is boiled at the base, creating steam that rises through the plant material, releasing its aromatic compounds. As the steam cools it separates into the essential oil and the hydrolat.

3. Maturation

Freshly distilled oils are vibrant but often incomplete. With time, they soften, deepen and become balanced. We allow our essential oils to mature under controlled conditions, allowing notes to integrate naturally. The result is a richer, more harmonious olfactory profile.

4. The Organ

The organ is the creative heart of our laboratory. Here, natural raw materials, essential oils, resins and extracts are arranged with precision as compositions are built note by note. It is a place of refinement, where each formula evolves through careful adjustment until it finds its balance.

5. The Final Blend

Through repeated iterations of each formula, we refine each blend until it expresses a clear identity, one that feels both coherent and deeply connected to its origin. It is the final blend that will tell the unique sensory story.

With a background in biochemistry and interdisciplinary studies, Victor Alarcón brings a research-driven and creative approach to Cala Falcó as Co-Founder, Creative Director, and Head of Labs. He bridges regenerative agriculture, formulation and storytelling. Guided by a soil-to-bottle philosophy, his work uses scent to regenerate ecosystems, shape emotion and redefine contemporary luxury.

With a PhD in Chemistry and nearly a decade of experience in advanced materials research, Tatsiana brings scientific precision and methodical rigor to Cala Falcó’s laboratory. She oversees the meticulous production of each formula, ensuring consistency, quality and fidelity to the original vision.
